When the Critical Meter is filled, the monster enters Critical Mass. Monsters enter Critical Mass by destroying the crystals scattered around the stages and filling up the "Critical Meter." If the monster destroys a large crystal, it enters an "excited state," during which all damage dealt and received will increase the Critical Meter.
